Throw Me Something Mister

Davis had a special treat last week when he got to come with me on my annual Mardi Gras weekend in Baton Rouge.  This was my fifth Spanish Town Parade and it did not disappoint.  I have to admit that this year was a little more tame than recent years!  

The weekend also marked Davis' first plane ride.  I was very nervous but he did great.

Taking San Antonio by Storm

Jeff attends an annual conference in San Antonio every February and this year Davis and I decided to tag along.  We drove which meant I didn't even try to narrow down the packing list!

Here's a sample portion of the packing list:

Diapers 

Wipes

10 outfits

4 pajamas

toys

burp rags

2 blankets

wash cloth

bumbo chair

play mat

pack and play

This is just Davis' bags!

We left on Wednesday afternoon and thankfully we had a pretty uneventful drive. Davis slept most of the way.  We stayed at the Westin on the Riverwalk and Davis had a very positive reaction to the Heavenly Bed!  If only we would let him watch TV he would have been set.

While Daddy was at the conference Davis and I enjoyed the hotel room, played with our friends Britney and Eli (sadly I didn't get any pictures of Davis and Eli) and of course paid respects to the Alamo (Mammau, this picture is for you).

This was the longest trip Davis had taken in terms of distance and duration and all in all it was a success!

4 Months

Davis had his 4 month check up today!  Here are the stats:

Wt: 12 lbs (5%)

Ht: 25 1/2" (70%)

His doctor likened him to a piece of dry spaghetti...

My Baby

I'm starting to feel like Davis is growing and changing too fast!  Here are a few flash back pictures from 16 weeks ago.

Davis always had his hands around his face in sonogram pictures and those first few days he stayed true to form.  It looks like he's play peek-a-boo with us.
